Shitty Good Games

What are some games that you guys just love to hate? A game that you realize is shit but you like it anyway? Dark Sector and Splatterhouse are two examples that I like even though I recognize their flaws. How about you guys?

  1. The Matrix: Path of Neo for the PS2. I think it was the unlockable cheat codes that kept me coming back, plus anything with bullet-time I'm a sucker for. I was surprised to find Star Wars shadows of the empire got such bad reviews when it came out. I now realize the janky, tank like controls of that game, but I still love it.

  2. I've been playing Dark Void recently. It is a pretty bad game but I enjoy it mainly for the potential it has. It could have been a great game if they just spent more time on it. There are a lot of camera problems in the game too, which is something I don't expect from a game released in 2010.

    1. Oh, another example would be Lester the Unlikely. I don't really know why but I still kind of enjoy it, despite it's obvious and numerous flaws.

  3. there are quite a few bad games that i enjoyed. Enter the Matrix that was bad game but it very fun to play especially with the cheat codes on which gives you infinte bullet time.
Deadly Premonition: on the 360 has it share of issues but really enjoyable i have thank Razorfist for telling me about that game.

  5. Glover for the Nintendo64.
It has awful controls because the difference in time between pressing a button and seeing the effect on screen was atrocious. It's one of my nostalgia games so I just have to accept it for what it is and I can forgive its flaws since the development team was so small. I can still point out a few good things though. One is it had amazing physics with the ball you carry around. I also liked the boss fights and the insane assortment of cheat codes had me coming back to screw around with absurdly overpowered abilities.

  9. Dante's Inferno. The first half of the game was awesome, especially the boss with the giant tits and enemies comin' outta her nipples lol

  10. The Kane & Lynch games? i dont think that they are BAD (they just got a bad reputation after that shit that happened at gamespot with Jeff Gerstmann) but they have their flaws. I just love the characters, the dialog and the fact that you kill around 500 cops in both games. the shit you do in the first game is fucking crazy: Rob a bank, kidnap the daughter of a japanese crime lord, drive a fucking bulldozer into a prison and break out 3 guys, kill the japanese crime lord, you even go into the middle of a civil war in havana just to get revenge on a few guys.

  11. Skate 3 for me, its not bad. Its not that good though. Its just so hilarious and the physics are finicky in the most awesome way. I just mess around, jump of buildings and do a spread eagle with my fat bald character named Matt Moped. Its priceless; well worth the 20 dollars just for the pure hilarity that comes from dicking around. You cant take it seriously.

    1. How could you put Skate 3 on this list? It's an amazing game. Skate 2 is the only one I don't like in the series because it puts restrictions on the city in a game that stresses free roam.

    2. I haven't played that game yet, but I put a lot of time into Skate 2.

  12. Underrated as fuck I would say Final Fantasy V, it's best than IV in my opinion, only worse than VI in the SNES trilogy. But it's in no way a bad game.

A bad game I like is Earthworm Jim on the N64. I was so hyped for this crap at the time, that i enjoyed very much, even tough I knew deep inside how shit it was in comparison with the 2D Megadrive/MegaCD/SNES games. But screw that! At the time everybody was trying to move on to 3D, nobody wanted to stick around in the old days, and I was kinda happy with that direction... it broke the series, but it's fucking nostalgic for me...

  13. Earthworm Jim 3D was your typical 2D to 3D game, for the sake of being in 3D. But I always felt that the most crap side of the game was the boss battles, everything else was... just... generic. Maybe if they polished the turd a little bit more... hahahahaha! Nah... it's shit! Plain out shit, but i like this shit! Stay away from my shit! =D

  14. I have to agree that Dante's Inferno was good in the first several stages. They kinda gave up or something at the end. Gun. I guess Gun is a game I had a blast playing but it was a bit lame in some respects. I still think it is better than RDR. Hmm I have a love hate relationship with R-Type for the TG16. It's hard as tits and I never could beat it. Anyone who says they did on the console has to be lying. Proof of suck it! I remember liking Neutopia on that system, but it IS just Zelda with a dumber name.

  17. Dark messiah of might and magic elements.
It pissed me the fuck off.
If you wanna play the game play the PC version.
Because the xbox 360 version takes it from the behind.
